I think this will be his year. He has tried going back to Italy but no club has really shown any serious desire to buy him which I think must hurt him.

Rodgers will have spoken to him and praised his technical ability and hopefully made him feel wanted. I think he will come out and really try to establish himself this year, he's got the right type of coach behind him now

Whilst a tad optimistic, I think you could be right; where else does he have to go at the moment? Not as if teams are beating on the door to sign him or so it seems at the moment anyway.

IF and it's a big IF he can get his head straight and decide to really give it a go at Anfield he could be good for us.

All down to him really, sadly so far hes not managed to adapt at all so it's a big ask

Well he came to England to play in the first place didn't he? To be fair he probably hasn't wanted to be here because he hasn't been made to feel very wanted since he has been around. It could be different now.

To be honest, I think Aquilani will be given every chance by Rodgers to see if he has the character nowadays after being pretty much rejected by the top two Italian teams, to stay & kick on at Liverpool to prove to us that he's not the player we all have become accustomed to.

out of Holtby and Draxler only Draxler would be able to play the position imo. Holtby would be more suited to the Aquilani/Gerrard position.

Will be interesting to see who we buy to fill in that other wide slot.

Aquilani’s agent Franco Zavaglia spoke to calciomercato today and told them his client will be playing for Liverpool next season.

Zavaglia: “He’ll play for Liverpool.

“There is little to say about leaving AC Milan, the season is over and he’ll put that behind him.
