You know iv actually started to feel sorry for AVB now.

He's getting grilled about his future in every single press conference. I know that's part and parcel, but it just seems to be a bit of a witch hunt against him.

          He's a ****ing rude *******.

And he'll get a £10m payoff for his failure.

Why, it's not like Kenny is going anywhere, I wouldn't prefer AVB to Kenny either. As things stand, the only manager I would like instead of Kenny is Rafa.
              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Maybe his management just isn't all that?

He is clearly not all that. All the hype about him and excuses for the team not trying but he is the manager of a team full of very good players and is achieveving nothing. Redknapp gets laughed at but this guy gets all the excuses. For me he is just not a good manager.

my natural reaction is to want rafa back too but i have doubts based on the 'never go back' viewpoint.

if kenny was to step aside, i think AVB is as good an option as there is (were he to leave chelsea of course)

there's that chance for sure but I think he's as good a candidate as there is.

Think he got lucky with the Porto team he assembled/took over.

He seems completely inept. bizzare substitions and formations always changing mid game.

Its a learning curve but he is blatantly out of his depth at the moment

I suspect the problem is the players rule the dressing room, Terry, Lampard, Drogba etc have too much power.

I think he's been trying to do the right things, Chelsea have an ageing core who will need replacing in the next couple of years, the problem is it is unpopular decision and the owner and fans won't accept not winning things. He has made some odd substitutions but all managers do this at times, if they work you're a genius, if they don't you're an idiot.

If they wanted a young long term manager they need to stick by him and make the changes he wants, otherwise they'll be getting a new manager every year or two as they have in the past.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I suppose the issue here is whether he is all that. hard decision to take as it maybe to early for him etc. Really ythey should have been sticking by there last 3 managers who all had history and proven successful over a long period of time.

the players do rule the dressing room for sure, but then i think they also have Romans ear which is de-stabilizing.

He will be a success when he assembles his own team, doubtful he will achieve this at chelsea.
