His old Gremio boss is manager now and his is the first name on the teamsheet these days. There's a lot of humble pie to be eaten by an awful lot of people regarding this lad isn't there.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

No he wasn't a disaster at all, he was barely given enough time tbh.
He was thrown in at the deep end and had to battle to get them to qualify, but give him his due he achieved it in the end.

He played Messi in the same way he plays for Barca - he was aloud to roam - so don't sprout **** about him playing Mesi too deep, cos Messi did everything but score in the WC. How many times did he hit the bar or see the keeper parry his shot past the bar?

I rem watching the quarter final from the 4th row side of the pitch (where Veron didn't play btw) and noticing Mascher having to try contain 3 german midfielders all the time, because Di Maria, Tevez and Maxi were too lazy too track back. Arg strikers didn't have their shooting boots on that day (Messi hadn't train cos of the flu), and the goal after 3 mins allowed the Germans to pick them off on the counter attack. That was the way the Germans played in the WC on the counter, and they were blady good at it.

Oh and Samuel was out injured as well in that game leaving the youngster Otamendi horribly exposed at RB.

Your too good to be true, can't take the ball off you you got a heavenly touch, you pass like Sounness to rush. And when we're pissed in the bars we thank the Lord that your ours

not rocket surgery is it. I love all this revisionism and how people have been proved alegedly right......but he had to play an awful lot of games to get where he is today and he really wasnt very good to start with.

Unbelievable player. Reminds me a lot of C. Ronaldo.

Wish we had money to sign him
