French league is hotting up, Little Montpellier needed a win to go 8 points clear of PSG and Lille i think it is.

Played last night v Evian, was 2-2, then Montpellier had a very late Penalty, but their star player got into a fight, full on punch up apparently, 4 sending offs, fella waits ages to take this pen as all this happens...........and misses.

So they go 6 clear, but PSV and Lille have a game in hand, and Lille play Montpellier too.

Wonder if they'll hang on, apparently a very small side in comparison to others, and an 8 point lead would have probably seen them home, they may never get another chance.

Bilbao were off last night. Very disappointed in them, but not surprised though given that they have two cup finals on the horizon.

The difference between them and us is that they've tried to sustain good league form without collapsing in mentality. They've done well.

Well done to Real Madrid too. They've been the best team with so many variations in their attack. Been alright in terms of injuries too which has helped. Looking forward to seeing how Barcelona strengthen in the summer.

I said i'd like to see little Montpellier hang on and win the title, however, on reading the bbc gossip today, i see their captain has expressed a desire to play for.....a certain pile of **** from Manchester!.

I would therefore, like to withdraw my earlier support for 'little Montpellier' forthwith.
