tempted to go over for one but flights are expensive that weekend, any other time you can get a return for £30/40

Yep, the airline cunts companies are ahead of the game. Stupidly enough, it can sometimes work out that flying over earlier than you need to, and getting an extra night or two, can work out cheaper because the air fare would be so much less a couple of days before.

Although you can be sure accommodation prices would be jacked up for that weekend too.
