I dont think he will be, this gets said every transfer window and it never happens. He's better than Henderson, was better than Carroll since he's been here and has pretty much no other competition on the right unless Gerrard goes there. He'll start v Sunderland and start loads of league games.

We have so few spots available for the first team so I don't know how we can fit them all.

I think Adam and Downing will be starters and if Stevie is ready I cannot see Kuyt in the starting 11 vs Sunderland.

To be fair, you can't really compare them in the last six months - Carroll came in mid-season, injured and played recovering from injury, off the pace and unfit, then got injured again.

Yes, Kuyt linked well with Suarez in Carroll's absence, but I think you can only judge the performances of Kuyt against Carroll next season.

Downing can play on either wing as he has done plenty of times for Villa last year and with everybody being available Kuyt will be on the bench.

I realise that, I just think stating that Kuyt has been better than Carroll isn't a fair comparison.

I think Kuyt has an arguement to be included in the side on merit from his performances towards the end of last season - in my opinion, Carroll has to earn his place back.

I dont think Henderson has been bought for the right he is far better in the centre. But then his delivery would be better from the right than Kuyt's and he works every bit as hard as Kuyt, if not harder!!!

And completely unfair to compare an unfit Carroll to Kuyt. I think its almost 100% that Carroll will be preferred upfront to Kuyt.

Go on readytogo.net, I'd be absolutely amazed if you can find more than 3 Sunderland supporters who say he's far better in the centre. Everyone on there says crap in the middle, excellent outwide.

Heres a Sunderland fans opinion from a boxing forum I use :

Some people keep referring back to last summer and how we are signing better players, just remember, previous to that we signing the likes of Torres, Masch, Reina, Alonso, Johnson etc etc. Things weren't always as **** as last summer.

add suarez to that lot and I'd love to have seen what kenny could have done with *that* team
