for me its not about the fee. for 20m id expect suarez type performances, for 10m id expect maxi type performances. downing isnt even that good. im not saying he isnt capable, just doesnt seem to want to put in a shift every game. whether he was a free, or 20m, you have to question why he is starting.

you have to admit that he does put in a shift every game. Whether he's productive or not in terms of goals and assists then thats different but he works very hard and he does track back.

He started the season unluckily and i think it just carried on and developed into poor form.

That is hitting the nail on the head & that i exactly why I never want to see him in a Red shirt again. Sorry if that offends anyone who is happy to accept mediocrity but I am not going to anymore...
