a squad player should be on squad players wages, i'm not certain what his are, but if they are relatively high then it is an inefficient use of resources imo.

Problem is his age, if we can bring in some more players I'd let him go just because next season we'll get next to nothing for him and he's probably on big wages.

Great attitude at the moment, not pulling out of tackles and working as hard as anyone. That's a good platform to build on and he's added goals and assists in his last few games too.

Done OK today, bit anonymous at times, but then again, a lot of our forward play was breaking down far too easy.
Put in a shift, and he took his goal, although I suspect if it didn't go in, the comments going his way might be a bit different given his option available.

Rock on Stewie. Had to cover for a poor Johnson today so not surprising he seemed a little 'anonymous' at times. Never stopped running though and that always kept Ekottu back.

Deserving of his place at present. He's not and never will be worth £20m, but have a think of the fee we'd likely get and ask ourselves if he'd be worth moving on.......

Personally, I'd keep him this summer but I'd look at bringing in a player who can give him a fight for his position.

I was thinking similar, after spending much of the last 18 months thinking we should move him on I think that we should keep him for at least another year. We should also loan Sterling out to get experience playing regular football elsewhere, to give us the best of both worlds next season: an experienced player who has been improving for the last few months, and a promising young player getting the experience he needs to develop, we could then review both situations at the end of next season.
