Houllier was entirely to blame for Ziege. He was never a good left back. He was excellent in midfield and as a wing back.

If you watch back that season its surprising the number of goals he's involved in - and I don't mean goals against us either.

I think that Viduka being the best player he's played with probably says alot about Downing's game. I'm guessing that he's picked Viduka because Downing likes having a target man to aim for, and I guess Viduka probably is the best target man he's ever played with...
