The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

And to think people were saying we spend too much after Fabinho, Keita and Alison and that's even after letting Coutinho go without replacing him immediately. Don't even understand how we're in the spending conversation, obviously our players are expensive but that's a completely different tier.

Even more crazy when you consider Grealish has only been a top flight starter for 2 and a half seasons and has never played in Europe.

Grealish would have improved most other sides in the comp so by City buying him they’ve lessened the chance of their opposition strengthening which of course helps them. Plus they can rotate without a big drop in class.

Nick Harris tweet (can't seem to link it)

Per this @TelegraphDucker story on the Grealish deal, he has signed a 6-year deal worth £115m (in wages), which, at £369,231 per WEEK, would make him the highest paid footballer in the history of English football.

(Apart from, maybe, De Bruyne, unconfirmed)

Dodgy accounting practices, multiple offshore shell companies and no rigour by the PL or UEFA in applying forensic accounting to their books.

Neither have the balls to really investigate City thoroughly... much like the an ex-Bullingdon Club member appointing another ex-Bullingdon Club member to perform an 'independent investigation' into the shady dealings of... ex-Bullingdon Club members...

                      They will have to sell.

I reckon someone like Bernardo Silva is going to be out on his arse soon.

I mean I know that footballers are vastly over paid but even in that context that is stupid money for a player like him

                                Yip maybe.

what i find strange is that they haven't replaced Fernandino at all (unless I missed that??) I suppose they might say that Rodri and Gundogan will play #6.
