Relegate them how far? You put them down to the Championship they will come straight back up it's a year punishment at most. Even if you relegated them to the conference they would just do a Rangers. Stripping them if the titles doesn't really count for much it's little more than an acknowledgement that they did wrong at this point.
As I said I doubt there is any punishment that would make them think it wasn't worth doing what they did.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.Comment

No way decent players hang around for 5 years to get Europe again.Relegate them how far? You put them down to the Championship they will come straight back up it's a year punishment at most. I guess the comparison would be Juve's punishment as a result of their involvement in CalciopoliRelegate them how far? If they were to be relegated to the Championship they would be promoted straight back and likely be back in Europe within a year or two of being back in the PL. Not that they would be relegated anyway. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.Comment

They got relegated to Serie B but were promoted back immediately and finished 3rd in Serie A their first year back. I would expect City would do similar if this were ever to happen.
But even taking such a punishment into account and stripping them of all their titles when they get back they would still be in a stronger position than if they had never cheated in the first place, so from that point of view it would still be worth it.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.Comment

It took Rangers 5 years to get back. I would be up for watching City having to do that.Modifying post.Comment

Take their titles away and don't award them to 2nd place.
Don't want United getting awarded 3 titles and us getting handed 2 ffs.Comment

The only hope is through what happened to Chelsea and the renewed focus on football club ownership.
I would have said the same about Rangers, they hung on for ages and finally when the decision came it was quite surprising.
I doubt it also. And rivalry aside it would be good to see such obvious dodgy book keeping punished. I cant see it either, but who knows.Modifying post.Comment
