A few of the ex players look jittery in interviews. Significantly less hubris from Mills Going to be interesting how this all pans out.

Hopefully players will steer clear from them as long as this in the works, so it wouldn't be in their best interests to drag this on. All their success is tainted and I hope the players and Pep feel that as well.

I see Vincent Kompany was out airing his scepticism regarding the charges. His legacy and that of many City players under threat.

This is exactly how it went down with Rangers. A decade of cheating exposed. Just means all of the effort and emotional investment from all parties involved was a complete waste of time.

It must be quite hard on a personal level to see it if you believed at the time you were giving everything to the cause. Its not strictly the players who are to blame, players would play for anyone given the money.

So if their legacy is tarnished, its not them doing it. Which must be quite a bitter pill to have to swallow.

Good. The league has to throw them the harshest punishments, United will soon be Gulf owned and Newcastle are, so if it's only a few points there is no deterrent to repeat.

True, ..... however I feel players should be more "woke" regarding their employment tbh they will earn obscene amounts either way, it should matter a little bit where it comes from. So I don't really feel sorry anyone involved in this case.

I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

There are surely levels to this though.... if the offer is £5m salary from Man City and £5m from a company in Qatar then definite alarm bells But if it's £5m from Liverpool or £8m from Man City then I don't blame them at all

I think I would be able to square it as a player. Its the match-fixing scandal that broke in Italy that as a player would tarnish it for me. You as a player will still better on the day than the others in front of you.

The players in Calciopoli had little awareness of what was going on as it involved pressurising the referees rather than getting players to throw matches.

It’s not the FA, it’s the Premier League
