He has been very proactive with regards to charity work since his days playing in Germany and apparantly both he and his wife do an awful lot for charities and organisations beyond what gets reported publically.

As a footballer, and again trying to ignore who he plays for, he was gifted and a genuine world class level player.

      Brilliant player.

Top 5 for players I would pay to watch in the Premier League era, just a magician.

Such a pity he played for the plastic club

I took Jean-Claude to be JCVD and assumed Francois Van Varenberg was a different person. Film director or muscian or some other pop culture black hole for me
            Football without Origi is nothing

I reckon that had the country been called Bengium it'd been far more successful

Putting rivalries aside he seems decent guy, given the put up statues for recent players such as Kompany, Aguero and Silva there is a good case for him getting a statue based on that precedent
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'm getting the impression that City's punishment won't be announced until we know how many points deduction they can have without sending them down this season...
                        Really?

Irrelevant TBH - City will/would/need to appeal

                            maybe that's the compromise?

It’s weird no one is talking about it at all though. Could they have made the judgement and are hearing the appeal now in private?
