VAR is fine, the problem is the offcials on the pitch are so so poor that everyone expects VAR to clear their mess; but that simply cannot make up for the poor onfield decisions & are hamstrung by the clear & obvious bollocks.Originally posted by John Barnes View PostJust get rid of VAR...
Oh that & the 'Thats my mate' attitude.
Get in proffesional VAR who could not give a **** about 'their' on field mate, get officials on the pitch not in Webbs pocket & you will sort it

I think VAR has had the unintended affect of making the on-pitch officials ultra risk averse though. They think VAR will correct any controversial errors so pick the path of least resistance. We need to recruit more Ironballs McGinty.Originally posted by S-RED View PostVAR is fine, the problem is the offcials on the pitch are so so poor that everyone expects VAR to clear their mess; but that simply cannot make up for the poor onfield decisions & are hamstrung by the clear & obvious bollocks.

City and Newcastle now have the paying power. Previously it was manure, but they still hold sway with the ref club now being bossed by the man utd sympathiser.Originally posted by rudedog View PostHave Newcastle been wronged yet?removing all the weak links makes us stronger

Then fans, managers and players can go back to whinging about the ref not seeing a wrong decision and having no ability to correct that.Originally posted by John Barnes View PostJust get rid of VAR...
There were lots of errors before var that were never picked up. The question is whether the error rate is reduced after the introduction of var and I’d bet it is, so overall it’s a net positive.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

Yeah, the main benefit of VAR is it highlights the corruption and the inadequacy.Originally posted by Corndog View PostThen fans, managers and players can go back to whinging about the ref not seeing a wrong decision and having no ability to correct that.

I am sure the next time he is over there He will be gifted a shiny new Rolex 'in honour' of his decision against Arsenal.Originally posted by frank the tank View PostIn reality the real scandal of this is how PIF owned Newcastle United are allowed to be officiated by premier league referees who do a bit of moonlighting in the PIF owned Saudi league.

Yup, and while I don’t want to excuse Suarez for that, his English was a lot worse than Arteta’s. Even without the word “disgrace”, his rant deserved punishing. I would also be fine with it not being a punishable offense, but what’s annoying is the inconsistency.I don't tip
