I think he's an instinctive player and his new position / tempo of our play suited him, especially with Johnson around him who is v.dynamic. If people create the angle for him early he tends to find them (not always), it was all a bit linear and predictable and he seemed to get bogged down playing LB under Kenny.

I'd love to see how he could do on the wing again

He seems to link up really well with Suarez and has a knack of putting him through on goal. That's priceless IMO. I'd keep him on the wing for the time being.

A dip in form normally lasts a matter of weeks for the better players. And Enrique was given the benfit of the doubt for a long time, but there comes a point where even you have to get your head out of the clouds and realise his **** does not smell of roses.

He has been poor and I am sure he will be the first to admit it. And I will not apologise for calling what I see, if you don't like it thats not my problem, I am here to discuss my team and voice my opinions. LB has been a problem position since Riise left (and he was not "practically ran out of the club"!!) .

This is not about pointscoring dude. I do not think has been the LB he looked like he would for us, and yes he has done well at LW but if you honestly think I am going to concede that he is the long term solution there then again you are mistaken.

Well first things first anybody who has watched Wigan play this year or last year would not say they are Poor, towards the end of last season there last 12 games were 8 wins, 2 draws 2 defeats, with wins over Man United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle, they have been very unlucky this campaign with there results not reflective in there performances and many percieved them to have turned a corner recently with wins over Spurs and West Ham.
We can only judge him on his role, he played in a forward position and he scored a goal, made a goal and covered his LB on numerous occasions, thats my perspective. I would rather see him in a LW position he could be our Kuyt on the Left channel. I rate him as a player, he has it in him to be a truly top title winning player.

He played as LB vs Chelsea and he was MOTM and then he played as LW/wingback vs Wigan and he impressed once again.

2 games in a row he played very well.


We don't know if Rodgers really rates him or not but it is clear that he raised his game to the point that contribution is very valuable to the team.
