His test is his ability to adapt. That will determine whether he stays with us. I think there is hope for him unlike Joe Cole or Stewart Downing

          Brilliant game.

Wow it looked like he had a great game! Some good footwork and vision too.

If only Downing would do those things.

he might not be the most skilful player on the pitch, but he at least come to put a shift in

Cannot fault him really yesterday, but one swallow does not make a summer as they say. Some doubts remain purely down to his constant ball hogging and getting himself into trouble needlesslly, however if he carries on like he did yesterday he can still resurrect his career here.

... just thinking the same thing. Has the frustrating tendency to give possession away cheaply, losing it as a result of an interception or misplaced pass.

He wasn't great in the 1st half yesterday (as many weren't) but credit to him, he came to the fore in the 2nd.

worked his socks off yesterday for us, really good to see a player under pressure actually made the effort to regain his place on merit by putting in a performance like that.

Some other of our well paid squad members should perhaps take a leaf out of his book.

                      Totally agree mate!

From his regular posting on Twitter of being out and about/FIFA it was easy to assume he couldn't give a **** but he is obviously fighting for his place and last night he did so well.

I thought he was done with us a couple of months ago after his horror show. Good to see him trying to turn it round. The little nod to Suarez for his goal last week was my favorite Enrique thing ever.

I was really surprised to see him named MOM. He gave the ball away more than any other player,or so it seemed...It would be interesting to see the stats on this.

It's probably because he seemed to have more of the ball than any other player.

He does give the ball away often, he seems to so often end up in blind alleys with little options, where he usually looses out.

His performances have been dismal for a while but I really like the guy. He runs miles and miles, and I love it when he muscles people out of the way and steps across them. Ideally we'd want a better left back but I'm more than happy to have him in the squad.
