It's a real shame Rafa didn't have the funds available to him when he needed them as we would be dominating English and European football right now (along with Barca obv ) if he had (IMO of course - don't want to open a can of worms in the thread)

Ours was £123m, not gazillions behind them.

Yeah ridiculous though how United are painted as the paragons of virtue, the club obsessed by nurturing homegrown talent, while their noisy neighbours merely spend like drunken sailors.

They've got a banner for OT this season which says something like "United = trophies. City = ££££££££"

All this we should have bought Aguero before he went to Atleti is all hindsight we wasnt really what we needed at the time, and I don think he was ready for the prem. The likelyhood would have been he got booted around for 2 years so a bit of promise then ****ed off to Spain and had a good career.
