He’s a proven PL goal scorer with pace, power, good in the air, good on the ground and unplayable at times. Plus he was only 20 when the season ended.

If he was English you’d be talking £40m+ and I think worst case scenario for Everton if they do sign him is that they sell him on for a tidy profit in a year or two. Darren Bent cost nearly as much FFS, and I'll not mention Carroll.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I haven't heard anything about the transfer bar on here and I'll be shocked if it does happen. If it does, I think he'll be a great signing for them and I'm happy to see it happen as hopefully he'll help take points off our rivals, whereas I'm confident we'll still get 6 poins off them.

i think he's good player, good potential - huge gamble for a club like everton though imo

seemed to have basically spunked all their money on one player that if it doesn't work out might really **** them over - especially as i don't think they have any other strikers do they?

maybe i am just being a bit to 'football manager' here, but £24m i reckon theyd be better signing two or three players

The Lukaku saga has rumbled on all summer, but we were able to reassure Sunday ECHO readers with this story at the weekend.

            Roberto was right!

32 Goals & 16 Assists in the premier league alone in last 2 years & he's only gone 21!!

If they sign him for £24-25m it is an absolute bargain.... great signing if true.

Good signing for them tbh, pace, power and goals for that sort of money these days is decent value I'm afraid to say.

Problem for Chelsea will be if Lukaku gets 15-20 goals and Diego Costa does a Torres,Shevchenko,Eto'o,Ba etc etc

                              Ronaldo was really something!

So many of these players lost their mojo early though, through injuries.

@rimsey_d: Romelu Lukaku is officially an Everton player. £24m rising to £29m if Everton win a trophy or qualify for the Champions League. So £24m then
