In defence of Adam he supposedly had the most bookings for a player in the PL last season or in the top three at least so clearly he does tackle albeit not very well.

Maybe he just couldn't be bothered in that game.

I think the point is he goes round kicking people for 45-60 minutes, then is either too ****ed to tackle or scared to do so cos he'll be booked/sent off. His tackling figures are mostly fine for 45 minutes to an hour.

Apparently Holloway used to take him off a lot at Blackpool. Maybe this is why.

If you are looking for excuses you will always find one.

I think it is shocking that he didn't atempt to do a single tackle.

You've got to pay for the stats centre though. They're supplied by opta.
did you not pay for them then?

Xabi is indeed on a different planet in comparison to Charlie, I couldn't believe what I was hearing on LFCTV on Monday when Gary Gillespie was saying he felt Charlie is a better player than Xabi ever was, incredible.

Wow. So wrong as so many different levels.

Has he ever seen Xabi play??

That is unbelievable. The scots are uniting a bit there I think.

The Guardian chalkboard has him having made 5 tackles and won 3 of them, not to bad since Carra only made 3 during the match. Carroll came out top with 13 and won 7 of them with Suarez next with 10 winning 5 of them.

I think we need a Mostar special Youtube: "Adam v Wolves" clip to settle this issue

I don't see what he gives to the team....even his set pieces aren't that great...I'd have Spearing ahead of him tbh....Fitness is so important at this level and he just isn't fit enough or ever will be I think.

I agree but is 1 or 2 good passes in a game really enough for the position he plays in?

You need drive and the ability to influence a game, grab it by the scruff of the neck in the final minutes to get something out of a game or put it to bed if needed, imo he can't do that.

Not looking for excuses at all, simply stating that perhaps he wasn't up for it that match.

A midfielder making no tackles at all is pretty poor by my books. He does try and make tackles normally though to be fair but he just seem too good at making them.

                                That's just it.

He may not be the tackling specialist but I think it is incredible stat that CM playing pretty far back as he does didn't attempt a single challenge for an entire match.

Good day or bad that seems pretty poor.
