Was very harsh imo - in fact all our yellows were harsh as they all were 1st offences by the various players & weren't malicious at all.
Whereas Adam was blatantly pushed in the box & Johnson was cut down just outside the box by 2 players, not even fouls were given! Another example of the worst refereeing in the world! I swear the FA will employ any idiot off the street to be a ref ffs!!!
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

Was definitely a cynical challenge last night. He just ran straight into the back of the other blokes legs. Definitely knew what he was doing - textbook Hamann foul.

          10 assists?

In yesterday's match thread it was 6 before the two yesterday.

He did very well for both of the goals yesterday, but overall he still looks like a liability more than an asset.
          Oh I don't know.

I don't think there was much wrong with that foul to be honest, the way I remember it their player (think it was Jarvis) evaded both Johnson's and Skrtel's challenges and he would definitely be through on goal if not for Charlie's foul. And it didn't seem possible to me to stop him any other way in the situation. Other than that he was gash in the first half (of course I had to miss the brilliant second half).

he cannot tackle. if he plays against spuds he will just allow bale to go skipping by... mark miwurds

Very frustrating player. He does make things happen, some of his passing is out of this world, and he's never afraid to charge forward.

Defensively he's a nightmare and arguably could have seen red last night for two clumsy tackles.

There's no wonder he looked ace at Blackpool when the only judge would have been people watching MOTD. He's a great highlights player.

No he won't. He'll clumsily bundle into him.

As people say, a very frustrating player to watch. Have his great moments and have his **** moments. It's a bit like watching Garcia in the days, just a bit further back the pitch and not quite as likeable.

I'm just going to throw it out there, IMHO he is the worst signing Kenny have made even if for a modest amount. He is not good enough to control the midfield and IMO not quick enough on the ball to be playmaker.

His cross for Carroll's goal was great but it might possibly be the only decent one he's done this season and part of why we bought him was his delivery of set pieces and in open play.
The pass to Kuyt at the end was a last option as he was clearly trying to score himself but got closed down.

I think he is an ideal squad player but would worry if we had to start with him every single week
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

The story of the season so far. Terrible luck.

Barcelona had this problem with ronaldinho. they knew he was good going forward but he was lazy going back and wouldnt work hard enough for the team. He was also very hard to incorporate into any sort of team structure.

so they stuck him out on the left hand side basically out of the way in terms of formations so the spine of the team was still solid and asked to him to produce quality and goals from that area.

thats exactly what he did too so maybe with charlie adam, its a case of put him somewhere where he's not a liability ie not in centre midfield. why not shove him out on the left.

he can cross very well, he can pick out midfield runners.

ffs what am i saying. theres no way he could play on the left and still contribute to the team.

i know what you mean, your trying to limit his liabilities, yet still get some useful product out of him. fink he'd end up running into the back of bellamy and cramping his stylee.
