Adam has really impressed me against United, Chelsea and City. He doesn't as yet seem to carry that form to games against poorer opposition yet though, if he can do that it'd make a great deal of difference.

Well close to if we want to achieve anything! "long term he is not the answer" I think is very harsh after his recent performances. Surely deserves a bit more time before you declare something like that? He's been excellent v Chelsea and Man City and good v Man Utd and Arsenal, just got to step it up a little bit v the **** teams but thats a whole team thing not just him.

Wouldnt say its an achievement but I guess thats the way footballs gone nowadays. It'd be a good thing obviously and a decent finish considering the last few years but wouldnt be rushing out to celebrate it.

I dont have a problem with you not being completely convinced! Just never really followed the "we cant do this if x is in the team" "cant do that if so and so is in the team" stuff theres 10 other players in the team aswell, that was what I disagreed with.

If I'm honest, I'm still not completely convinced by Adam.

He has improved the past couple of games, but long term he is not the answer. I can't see us getting higher than 4th in the league with him a regular starter in the team.

That said, we have been spoiled in this department over the years.

A bit like some of our other players I see him as an intermediate solution to get us into the CL, at which point the squad can be improved again.

Adam is an interchangeable piece. Unlike Lucas who is vital. He may prove me wrong, and I hope he does.

He is a good player though, and the sort that will be vital in years to come in making our squad stronger.

Weird that really isn't it. Perhaps they don't see him as the main threat and he's ignored. Or he may just be a big game player, which is fine by me but he could also be targetted by the lower sides who see him as more their 'level'.
