...well if its good enough for lampardOriginally posted by BootRoom View PostHow many goals has he got through deflections? I'd say his penchant for wildly optimistic shooting, that usually results in wildly off-target shots when there are better options available, is definitely one of his numerous minus points.

Off all of our recent signings Adam is far from the one to be getting stick. He has played more than probably planned due to injury. But for £8m I'd say he was a good signing and has had a decent 1st season, providing a reasonable return and hopefully he will continue to progress next season.Modifying post.

Have to hold my hands up and say that I was all for us signing Charlie Adam. I thought he would be absolutely ideal for us. But he's just not good enough to be in central midfield for a team aspiring to compete for the league. His biggest problem is his inconsistency. And it's not from one game to the next, he's quite capable of going from the sublime to the ridiculous in the space of seconds. And when he makes a massive mistake, I hate the fact that he adopts this ultra professional look - like he's read that Michael Jordan quote (about being the best because he's missed 1000's of shots) one too many times. Defensively he is absolutely appalling.
He's good enough to add depth to the squad, but I wouldn't be upset if he was sold in the summer. We'd most likely get our money back.
Javi Martinez would be the man. We should go all out for him. Pure class.K ris90210

I've said it before, I think CA should take all our set pieces. It might be a bit hit and miss in the early days but I think, once he's the settled taker, then he'll start putting in some quality delivery and shots on goal.
If he was at Blackpool, he would've scored a freekick by now. How many freekicks have we scored this season? None. Let him take everyone and we might get 1 in 5 games.

Really?
The Gerrard one springs to mind for me. I would also guess that Gerrard has hit a fraction of the amount of free kicks Adam has hit this year and at least he can say he's found the target. Adam's set-pieces have been dire for us, he couldn't even score a penalty (in fact 2).Last edited by RedReet; 09-03-12, 01:05 PM.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

The most infuriating thing he does is when he runs and sort of stumbles into opposition players. It looks deliberate, like if he makes it look like an accident he won't concede the free kick. Its amateurish. Somethimes he'll surprise and beat one or two players, but the end product is wrong almost always - he'll hold onto the ball too long or get giddy and go for glory. He invariably ends up on his arse, bemused.
He's really not good enough for Liverpool. Would he have managed 15 games for us during Benitez? No, I don't think so. We wouldn't have even looked at him.

Ok the Gerrard one and the fortuitous Bellamy one vs Newcastle but I bet the conversion ration is ****e.Originally posted by RedReet View Post

His set pieces have been ****e but, as I said, I think if he was taking them consistently then he would find his range. There's just something about that left foot of his. It's been an unused weapon so far this season.

His decision making at crucial times has been poor
For a player with a decent passing range and vision around the pitch a few times this season he has missed the obvious easy pass by trying to take players on or over complicate things

You really think that is the reason we are 7th?Originally posted by ~LFCHistory~ View Post
The guy in that video has been our first choice CM all season, is it any wonder we're in 7th place ??Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
