Weird that they can raise themselves for the big games v Us and City. But they look very vulnerable against pretty much everyone else.
Sporting are fine now. Changed to a 4-4-2 and been in decent form. Top of the league as well.

Every manager goes in and they get worse. Rooney is free at the moment if they sack him

      I liked this from Redcafe

It’s like he’s taken over a failing dutch pancake house and reopened it as a Portuguese steak house (see what I did there) the next morning despite only having the ingredients for pancakes and a bunch of cooks who only know how to make pancakes. That restaurant will go out of business extremely quickly and no one will ever take him seriously as a restaurant owner again.

Not sure that works. That team couldn't even make pancakes.
          Oh I don't know.

Given the analogy that's why it was failing.

So with Sancho and Antony they have £160m worth of signings out on loan.

Probably paying 80% of their wages too

IMO it's classic deflection, not sure how it will go down in the dressing room but sure they are septic in there anyways so maybe he doesn't care what they think. We'll see what happens with them.

What they really need to do is go back to scratch, root out all the toxic ****e from top to bottom and build from the ground up. With that they will take a massive financial hit not getting into Europe & run the risk of becoming irrelevant (I would argue they kinda are already) but we all know what they are going to do...... spend, spend, spend to try stay relevant. They just don't know how to pivot & can't seem to get out of their own way.

I actually think Amorim speaks really well to the media. How those messages are interpreted by his team is something different. This is a decent take by Goldbridge (increasingly one of the most balanced pundits out there!!!)

Both Spurs and United have almonst no chance of any Europe next year.

It might do them both a favour next year and they can concentrate on trying to get into the top half of the league

Kind of respect what he is doing, he knows he doesn't have the players for the system, but he's going to play it anyway so that the players he does want to keep learn the intracacies, and he can soon weed out the players that just can't play in a formation that he wants. He must have some assurances and backing. Does that make them a worry for the future, or is a 5-at-the-back formation a relic from another era and United risk being left further behind?
