he said moyes was an angry bully, he was the man at everton - everyone feared him, the atmosphere when he was around was always stone cold, but he got away with it there as they were a small club that he had done so well to get the best out of him - very militant, despite what some people think, terrible at bringing through youth, and was more about hard work than flair - granted a lot of us know that anyway, but thought i'd share it from an insider's view

he and along with others didn't think he'd cope if went to united with the same methods, because although ferguson ruled with an iron fist he had the trust/respect of the players - where as moyes doesn't - they seemed pretty convinced that the more established players won't appreciate being told what to do by moyes and it could go pear shaped

oh - my mate also mentioned that when martinez came he was worried about his job and was called in to martinez's office, he was great with him and told him not worry etc - he also has said the whole place has become lifted - different atmosphere, the players, coaching staff and other staff all have smiles on their faces and are encouraged to speak up and offer their thoughts.

Yep that is exactly what's coming across. He's their Hodgson

        I sure am

It would be huge. Amazed some want us to rest players. Let's ****ing go for it - it's a chance to make a huge statement and to absolutely ruin their manager and the fans'/club's confidence in him.

Perez told Cadena SER radio: 'Bale has come cheaply. Signing the best players out there is Madrid's philosophy and Bale was the best available player on the market this summer. We had been following him for two years.

'Tottenham did not want to sell. We learned that Manchester United had made an offer and we made one ourselves.'

Key to Bale's switch to Madrid was the fact he would be fulfilling his boyhood dream, Perez saying: 'Since childhood he had had the dream of playing for Real Madrid and he asked us to make it possible for him to come.'

I'm still not 100% sure we didn't back the wrong horse when we went for Rodgers over Martinez.

I think Moyes needs to learn to get better assistants. It was certainly one of the things that helped Fergie -always having people who added to his expertise rather than simply doing as they were told.

Everton beat Man Utd 1-0 last August - the other day someone posted a video of Fellaini's contribution on here somewhere (he got the winner).

Assumed he meant the famous stat referring to Moyes fixtures away from home against "the traditional big four" (United, Chelsea, Arsenal, us).

Just looked it up - it was 0 in 43 at Everton.

After the routine loss at our place, it now reads.

Obviously City don't come into that category - and he had a few wins against them - but still. Nice record

ah - didn't realise it was just away from home.

Everton at home under Moyes had good results against all the top teams. Away though he is clueless.

Not sure crestfallen is the right word ->

                          Haha

I didn't know it hinged on unexpected failure. Not sure that's the OED definition? I just thought it meant dejected.

You're right about the OED definition. Thesaurus throws up some wonderful alternatives though!
