I think that expecting United to finish outside the top four is as realistic as expecting us to win the league. It's possible but unlikely, even with Moyes in charge.

I'm not so sure this season. You've got City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, us & the Mancs.
Those are the teams most likely to be in contention for the top 4 places and two are going to miss out, so far this season it's been tough to call who's going to pick up or drop points, I mean look at some of the results already this season.
So it's quite conceivable and more so since the start of the PL that they'll miss out (it's just as likely it could be us as well!)

We beat United and lost to Arsenal yet United beat Arsenal. Anyone can win any game in this league it seems. It's very open. I actually think United have their best chance under Moyes this season because he wasn't able to add his own players to the squad. As the winners leave over the coming years their decline will begin because I don't think he'll be able to attract new winners, especially if they miss out on the CL

We went from 2nd to 7th and arguably we lost a lot less that United.Originally posted by dom9 View PostI think that expecting United to finish outside the top four is as realistic as expecting us to win the league. United and Chevrolet have been working together to raise money for the Manchester United Foundation - the star attraction was a brand new Chevrolet Trax, signed by the squad and with a hideous United wrap on it.
Anyway, they've just announced that the car was sold in an eBay auction for £14k - all well and good and a nice sum of money for the charity. However, when you look closer at the list price for the Trax the range starts at just over £15k.
Which means that the hideous wrap and the squad signatures have devalued the car by a grand...
EDIT: Just checked the list price for the precise model is £17.5k, so its been devalued by £3.5k

IIRC RVN did not score a single goal for United from outside the area. I know that doesn't mean they are tap ins but youd really expect at least 1 of 160 to be so from a top class footballer.Originally posted by dom9 View PostYou think?
All I can remember is him scoring one yard tap ins and celebrating each one as if he'd dribbled round the whole team before lobbing the keeper in the world cup final.
Id agree he was a great poacher/goalscorer but pretty standard at everything elseFootball without Origi is nothing

Moyes said: "Great players score great goals in big games and Robin's a great player. His sidekick [Rooney] played great as well."
A sidekick is a close companion who is generally regarded as subordinate to the one he accompanies
that's an awful choice of words by Moyes. Don't think that will go down well with Rooney.

as good a player as rooney is, it would seem that manure are dead set at trying to get him off the wage billOriginally posted by Maxiedge View PostMoyes said: "Great players score great goals in big games and Robin's a great player. His sidekick [Rooney] played great as well."
