Vidic looks shot, RVP looks more like his old self in terms of injuries, Januzaj has about 15 games under his belt and Rooney isn't exactly guaranteed to be there next season. The defence is ancient, central midfield has nothing to offer and its not as if they were flying when Rooney and Van Persie were there earlier in the season!

Juan Mata is a player every team needs. He instantly makes you better. The only reason he is out of Chelsea is because Mourinho likes to pick on the biggest bloke and try to stamp his authority.

Him, RVP, Rooney, Vidic and Januzaj are 5 very good players. Thats the core of a brilliant team. I just hope like others he doesnt know what to do with him.

RVP is finished, he will never reliable again due to his fitness and he may want to leave in the summer. Rooney and Vidic will be off in the summer if they don't make the CL. They have no core.

This my only worry, they have been so long at the top when the rewards were great, that they have grown to such a size that any fall from grace may be short...ish lived, compared to sides that found themselves in simialr positions in the past.

Obviously i'm not saying they'll recapture the form of the last 15 years, i just worry they won't be long out of the main loop at the top.

And no! a poster of Moyes with the caption 'i don't know what i'm doing' won't reassure me, they could get rid.
