City without Yaya gives us a massive boost for going one step better next season. I say we just break the bank and go for him ourselves.

Have they bought all the quality or are we getting a wee bit maudlin over rumours?

Has the window closed with us not buying any talent or are we getting a wee bit maudlin over nothing?

Brendan clearly knows what type of player he needs to improve the squad. Look what he has done this season with the players available to him. He does seem more intent on getting players that work for the 'team' rather than individual money mercenaries which I think he proved worked this year. The odd one or two mercenaries always helps though

We've been here before with the Manc's every season they get linked with top players but usually they end up not happening, this season will likely be a little different BUT they're in the position where they've likely got one shot at spending really big and teams know that.

Every player they go in for will be for massively inflated transfer fees and likely the wages as well, if they don't get it right they might well find themselves having to struggle to stay within the FFP boundaries and if it doesn't work regardless of the name of the team the longer you stay out of Europe the more appealing rival teams are.

Big Summer for the Mancs let's hope they get it spectacularly wrong!

Would be funny for us to put in an Arsenal-like derogatory offer like £20,000,01m plus Aspas and Alberto just to see the response

With Spurs too. Only last year they actually signed these players and they were ****.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Exactly, we've got the nucleus of a very good side that needs to be supplemented they on the other hand have a rebuild to contend with and it'll be interesting to see how some of their "superstars" take to Van Gaal, I'm guessing perhaps not that well in some cases.

Phil Neville is waiting to find out whether he is part of Louis van Gaal's new regime at Manchester United. http://dlvr.it/5klRdK
