Glazers need to put their hand in their pocket!?

    Fellani £28 million
    Mata £38 million
    Shaw £30 million
    Herrera £28 million

That's quite the investment in a year!

It's brilliant. They already have trouble attracting top players and are having to pay over the odds for average ones. Any idea the best players had that last season was a blip will be binned if performances like that carry on. Hope they get through the rest of the window without buying anyone.

United fan on Facebook, basically still positive but bragging about the amount of cash they're bound to spend now. Ridiculous.

I really hope they spunk £50m on di Maria....

It'll get them all excited and raving, use a huge chunk of any money (if any) they have....on a player who whilst good won't actually give them anything they need

They've been talking about how much they'll spend this window since Moyes got the bullet. £200m regularly cropped up in the papers. We're all still waiting!

There were a lot of sideways passes, Young and Nani were **** and clueless.

It is only one game but based on this evidence, they won't get top 6. Which would really cement their place outside of the world's top teams.

just watched the Sigurdsen goal, talk about inane defending he was free in the box for so long, with a utd player on the edge of the box looking at him then when he scored the utd player waved his arms at his team mates in disgust! (could'nt tell who the utd player was on the clip is saw)

The core of their side is abysmal. There doesn't appear to be any structure or direction. It's a complete mess. Long may it continue.

What did they expect van Gaal to do with this **** squad and where is this 200 million spend everyone was banging on about. They look light years behind the big four now.

I've been totally baffled by the LVG Utd lovein in the last few weeks, pundits actually predicting them for the league ahead of teams like Chelsea and City (and us & Arsenal come to mention it) are bat**** crazy. Herrera and Shaw have hardly scratched the surface of their issues, and personally I think LVG has demonstrated a complete lack of flexibility (and even sanity) in his determination to play 3-5-2 in a league where that has rarely worked for all but the most defensive of teams, and with a squad utterly unsuited to that formation. Sure if they had a bunch of top quality central defenders, but Smalling, Evans and Jones? Lololol

I could understand the love in for LVG from the united fans. The rationale was "that he isn't Moyes"................ well guess what folks??
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."
