Yeah Luke Shaw, forgot about him.

    Rafael is decent, but Evans?
    Are we winning?

I think a lot people are in some mild state of shock at the rapidity of their demise. We're lapping it up of course, but I still find myself pinching myself.
We finished as low as 8th in, as you put it, an easier league. I'd say we were every bit as bad

It doesn't set a positive tone for the season though.

Jonny Evans a missing first teamer?

Christ, its almost enough to make you feel sorry for them

            Actually no it isn't

It's fun and all that but I wouldn't dismiss them just yet, they have a few important players out, Van Gaal is ten times the manager Moyse is + the will probably buy before the window shuts. Hope I'm wrong, but I reckon they will be right up there.

How great would it be to be hearing the phrase "too big to go down" around May time.

Be fantastic if they did a Leeds but sadly they are too big to go down

                  i'm not so sure.

it just seems like they do not have the personel for a 3412 formation. i mean playing rightfooted young at left wingback and leftfooted januzaj at right wingback just seems wrong. he got away with it with kuyt, who can play just about any position, but those two...

their players were clueless of which position they need to take, what runs to make, where to pass the ball, and he's been with them for two months now. he may get then ticking eventually but it's going to take a lot of time and a serious change in personel

You've already got LVG asking for the cash
You've already got Scholes mouthing off about LVG's obsession with 3-5-2
You've already got fan confidence shattered in one game

It was how he always worked really. He spent a bucket load and then had a pretty settled side for a few years and then went out and spent another bucket load, rebuilding his team every four or so years. I guess he was due another one but left instead.

Louis van Gaal: Manchester United confidence 'smashed' after defeat...

New Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal said his players' confidence would be "smashed" after the worst possible start to his reign at Old Trafford.
United, who won six friendlies under Van Gaal in pre-season, began their Premier League campaign with a shock 2-1 home defeat by Swansea.
Van Gaal said: "When you have preparation, win everything, then lose your first match, it cannot be worse.
"We have built up a lot of confidence. It will be smashed because of this."

They'll get a famous win soon in the league cup second round to Scunthorpe or something.
