I don't think Utd will qualify for CL. Injuries will continue all season due to having such injury prone players + LvG's alleged trading methods. Plus De Gea won't be able to save their bacon once their luck runs out. Which it will, everyone's does.
The inadequacies in defence and midfield will have the fans up in arms again once their lucky shot on target = goal ratio returns to normality. Just got to pray that Arsenal and West Ham beat them to it.One tit for another.

They should get top 4 this season - they have a more expensive squad than MCFC or CFC already and getting a CL place is likely to be easier than last year as there looks like only being two decent teams around.
If they strengthen again in Jan or the summer then they should be challenging for the title next year along with Chelsea who look like running away with it this year and Citeh who will also be able to strengthen for next season now their FFP problems are sorted.

Reports in Spain on Tuesday had stated that Van Gaal is willing to offer Real Madrid £120million to bring the Welshman back to the Premier League, but the United boss was vague in his response.
'I cannot discuss that with you,' Van Gaal said. 'I discuss that with my CEO and not with anyone of the media.'

A survey on Spanish newspaper website AS.com on Tuesday asked Real Madrid fans if they would be happy with the club letting him go for the right price, with 54% responding that they would be willing to let Bale leave the Bernabeu.Comment

If they spurn £120m on another injury riddled player, while paying him in excess of £300+ per week, I'll be happy with that. Falcao MkII.
So their best players will be RvP, Di Maria, Falcao and Bale. All long term injury candidates from the past. Madrid must only be selling because of his injury concerns and while he still holds a high value to some mug (LvG).One tit for another.
