Utd fans seem to be under the impression that Haaland is going there next season. Haven't really seen this reported elsewhere?

Is he going to manage them?Originally posted by fabinho View PostUtd fans seem to be under the impression that Haaland is going there next season. Haven't really seen this reported elsewhere?
Until they get a competent manager they're going to continue to fall short irrespective of the players they have.

Haha yaaa, another united legend would end his career, playing for Ole…
In all seriousness, they were linked with him, the same time that we got minamino- thank **** that Ole didn’t go and get him then, for 25m or so.. he managed him at Molde, did he not know his full potential? Or did haaland not want to work with him again?I don't tip

This is something that we discussed when he moved to Dortmund IIRC. I think the link is largely because he is Norwegian and so is Solskjaer, perhaps the media being lazy and assuming as they worked together before he is more likely to go there.Originally posted by Mr Pink View PostHaha yaaa, another united legend would end his career, playing for Ole…

But as you say the fact that Solskjaer didn't move for him last time seems to be an odd one to me.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Also just seen this:

Is this what passes for serious journalism these days - some guy being paid to play football managerWe 'signed' Erling Haaland for Manchester United this summer with spectacular results
Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has been linked with a big-money move to the Premier League, with Chelsea, Man City and Man Utd touted.
The rumours linking Erling Haaland with a Premier League transfer this summer aren't going away, with the Borussia Dortmund forward linked with Manchester United among others.
MEN Sport understands that United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and football director John Murtough are in agreement that Haaland is the ideal number nine. It's also understood that the Reds earmarked a move for the Norwegian striker this summer until veteran forward Edinson Cavani signed a new contract at the club.
Chelsea and Manchester City have also been linked with a big-money move for Haaland this summer, but having already sold Jadon Sancho to United, it's been reported that the Bundesliga outfit wouldn't be tempted to sell unless a huge offer was forthcoming.
The rumoured price to acquire Haaland’s services is thought to be around the £150 million mark, an amount that the 21-year-old described as ' a lot of money for a person.'
Since arriving at Dortmund in December 2019, Haaland has registered a ridiculous 57 goals and 15 assists in just 59 games, making it clear why he’s one of the most in-demand players in world football.
So, if Haaland was to make his way to the red side of Manchester, how would he do? And, could he help United bring some silverware back to Old Trafford?
In an attempt to predict the future, we used Football Manager 2021 to see what could happen with Haaland at United.
We 'signed' Erling Haaland for Manchester United this summer
To set up this simulation, we used the Football Manager 2021 editor to arrange for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland to join Manchester United in July 2021, using FM21 to run the simulation.
This is what Erling Haaland's profile looked like in Football Manager 2021, as of 1 July, 2021 in-game.
Haaland's first season in Manchester was incredibly impressive. The Norwegian kept up his insane goalscoring form on arrival at Old Trafford and ended up finishing the season as the Premier League top scorer.
In all competitions, Haaland made 46 appearances for United and managed a whopping 35 goals and four assists, including 27 Premier League goals in 33 league starts.
His 27 league goals put him ahead of Mohamed Salah (22) and teammate Bruno Fernandes (20) in the race for the Golden Boot, with the latter grabbing the league's player of the year award.
At the end of the 2021/22 season, Football Manager 2021 put together an overall best United XI, based on performances, statistics and other metrics.
This is how the best United XI looked in 2021/22 according to FM21.
Full United best XI: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Varane, Shaw; Van De Beek, Pogba; Sancho, Fernandes, Rashford; Haaland.
New signings Raphael Varane, Sancho and Haaland all featured after impressive seasons.
So, how did United perform in all competitions in our simulated season with Haaland in the squad?
United's 2021/22 season results with Haaland
Here's how the final 2021/22 league table looked once the simulation finished at the end of May 2022.
The title race went down to the final day of the season, but it was Manchester United who were victorious in the end as they beat Liverpool to the title by a single point.
Haaland, Fernandes and Marcus Rashford were key to the title win as they managed 15 or more league goals, with new signing Jadon Sancho proving a valuable asset with 12 assists in his first season.
And, despite the return of Virgil Van Dijk to Liverpool's backline, Varane proved the more valuable asset as he played a vital role in Solskjaer's side conceding seven less than Liverpool and the least in the league.
There was more silverware to be won, however.
Haaland bagged a brace in the FA Cup final as United beat Chelsea 2-0 to win the competition for the first time since the 2015/16 season.
He also scored in the Champions League round of 16 against Juventus, but it wasn't enough as the Italian side beat United 5-3 on aggregate.
It was also an early exit for the Red Devils in the Carabao Cup as Arsenal overcame United 2-1 in the fourth round of the competition.
Overall, the impact of Haaland on United's season was substantial, with the striker playing a major part in the Red Devils winning two major trophies in the same season.
The last time that happened was in the 2007/08 season when United won both the Premier League and Champions League in the same campaign.
The FM21 simulation suggests that if United were to win the league it would be by a fine margin, and a big-hitter striker like Haaland could be just what's needed for United to win their first league trophy since the Sir Alex Ferguson era.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

United fans apparently also want to see their 'on loan' Ronaldo back in red again... still think he plays for them after a decade somewhere else. Deluded ****wits.
United will either spontaneously combust on gameday 1 or come out flying for a few games and then settle into a rhythm of win one, lose one, draw one, whinge about one...

They're ****.
If you want an illustration of how good their manager really is look at his utterly clueless performance in last seasons Europa League final.
He's so far out of his depth it's untrue.
Finished 2nd in the league without actually mounting a title challenge and got ****ted by the team that finished 7th in La Liga.
