    Mata £38m
    Di Maria £59m
    Martial £57m
    Pogba £93m
    Lindelof £40m
    Lukaku £90m
    Fred £60m
    Wan Bissaka £50m
    Maguire £80m
    Fernandes £68m
    van de Beek £40m
    Sancho £73m
    Varane £41m
    Martinez £55m

That's almost £850m and it's difficult to argue that anything more than Fernandes has been a success so far. With that money they could have built a successful team but those players were either bought at way over the odds or the manager wasn't able to fit them into a system (or both). Based on our experience with H&G I can understand what it's like having **** owners but they are worlds away from the ownership situation we had. They are still one of the top spending clubs in world football.
I see this as the most positive

For all their fans say about the Glazers taking money out of the club and the debt impacting them, I think even if they had had twice as much money to spend in that time they wouldn't have been much better off. Because of the lack of any football philosophy or style of play, they need to buy players to suit a system. They have been buying players either off hype, or good players that they don't know what to do with. That for me was (part of) the problem with the Evans/Houllier era for us

I’d argue that since the crowds have been back Fernandes has been bang average.

He had a golden patch when the stadiums were empty. That’s it.

Hooked at halftime. Welcome to the premier league

Neville speaks a lot of sense about football generally but with United he’s completely blinkered and defends the managers, players etc all the time, trying to push it all onto the owners. His comments yesterday were farcical. United have spent ****loads on dross due to not having any football plan whatsoever and changing managers every two minutes. Yes, the owners aren’t great but they have backed every manager to the hilt. Neville is a churlish cunt sometimes and yesterday was peak dickhead.

Yep, plus they were averaging a pen a game back then.

That was Dildo Baggins’s only game plan

That was when they finished second and their fans thought they were back and going to challenge for the title

Not quite; we lost to AC Milan in 2007 when the two bellends were at the helm, but your other point is well made.

he’s a clown. Hear him saying 15 to 20 years ago we had the best stadium in the world, now they need to build a new one… so what, do they need to replace it every 20 years? If it can go from “best in the world” to “rotting” in that time. In all seriousness, I know it has its issues with the leaky roof or whatever, but how exactly is the stadium to blame for the football being ****e (even in away games)?

They’re so entitled- spurs just built a new state of the art stadium, we should have one too! What an attitude
