Palace are not a good side, they are a Hodgson side and we should be beating them every time. Leicester are not the same team without Mahrez & Kante and with Vardy not playing they were there for the taking. Whilst our run may be slightly the more difficult, you'd still be disappointed with losing (or even drawing) any of those matches bar the Spurs one, but we made them look ordinary.

Of course we'd be disappointed drawing to them but that wasn't the point. You said we'd had it similarly easy to Chelsea, we haven't. They've played 3 sides you can easily argue will be the bottom 3 at the end (Cardiff and Huddersfield are nailed on) They've also had one more home game than us.

Let's see if they get 9 from Leicester away, Palace away and Spurs away as it's a piece of piss apparently.

We have beaten 4 teams that we should be beating, as last year showed as in points gained on last season, I believe it's only against Spurs where we have improved. But even then, as Chris says in the Spurs thread, they are an "average side" so maybe we should be beating them too?

We rightly can't knock 5 from 5, but it seems to be what people on here are doing to Chelsea, which seems a bit double standards.

To be fair, we've played 4 teams who we should be beating, and then an away fixture against a Spurs team who were very ordinary, so as much as Chelsea have had it easy, we've had it similar. The next few weeks will show whether either side has the squad to cope.

Palace & Leicester away are 2 very tough away fixture outside the top 6, potential banana skins for teams & types of fixtures that we have dropped points in several times in recent years. Spurs away is one of the toughest fixtures in the league too. We've played at about 50-60% and are still 5 for 5.

I fully agree on the Spurs front, that was a great result against a team who (hopefully) many of our direct rivals will struggle to beat. Palace and Leicester however...I dunno, I still think they're the type of teams where if we'd come away with a draw we'd feel a bit down. And if we'd come away with a loss, these forums would be in meltdown

Barring Spurs away, we we have the same points from these teams as last season, So in essence Scratch is on the money. Arsenal so early for Chelsea tho was a gimme.

I get what you're saying alright but I suppose our achilles heal for so long now was winning those types of games, winning when we our not at our best & winning against teams that on paper should be a given.

I'm not getting carried away, this years title race is different. City are still favourites and still have a top class squad with winning experience but they will not have it their own way like last year. I still think they may win it but I do think if we start to click.. that we will be there and there abouts. It will be interesting to see what way Chelsea approach the Europa, all well and good now as they are playing ****e but I can't see a European manager sacking off a big european competition. They will be stretched in the latter stages of the competition like everyone would be but they will have a lot easier ride compared to our group fixtures.

This is probably long gone now. But whats the point in staying grounded? Let the players do all that. Lets just go mental and win everything. **** expectations, Ive spent years tempering them. Lets enjoy the ride.

Was waiting to see how Chelsea would line up in Europe & i'm happy to say they are full strength. They have a great chance of winning this competition and by the looks of it, will commit to it. At least now they will feel the same effects as us after the European games.
