He’ll be their centre forward unless they sign Ronaldo - then they’ll **** his development

Yep think it is nailed on that they will try to use him as a 9 or even as a Firmino style false 9.

Just as we are moving away from how we set up our front three, Chelsea look like they are going to try and replicate how we set our attack up a few years ago.

Then again an awful lot of what Tuchel does tactically is very similar to Klopp. Is like they both got the same instruction manual and just decided to interpret it differently.

They both use similar pressing patterns but Klopp uses them in a more progressive manner whereas Tuchel tends to use them to contain.

Even how they view and use full backs is similar.

Personally I think Sterling will be a great signing for them. Reckon Timo is on borrowed time. Haven't really been impressed by Havertz either although it's clear he's is talented.

Sterling will comfortably outscore any of their current wingers imo. They have a very poor goal and assist return from their current wingers and if Sterling only gets 12 to 15 goals in the league for them, he will be a massive upgrade on what they get from their flanks.

Havertz as a false 9 has the potential to be very very good. Technically excellent, good in the air, good receiving the ball with his back to goal, able to link play, decent finisher and a really good playmaker.

Now whether Tuchel is the manager to use him like we did with Firmino or even use him in a manner similar to how Ballack was used in his final season with Leverkusen and his final two seasons with Batern Munich.

If they get their RW slot right, they might actually have a front line that gets goals on a regular basis and not flattering to deceive like they have in recent seasons.

Werner I still think would have thrived in a Klopp team. He is a player that require service and the ball played in front of him. At Chelsea they seemed to expect him to be able to play with his back to goal or be creator and finisher all in one. I sometimes wonder if he looks at Jota and wonders what would have been had he come to us back when he was linked to us.

Take Klopp and Pep out of the PL and Tuchel would be getting lauded as the top dog imo. He is a very good manager and knows how to his teams to adapt to his tactics quickly even if he comes across as a gimp mask wearing serial killer prick.

Think he is part of a group of managers who very much share Klopp DNA (or who are outright influenced by Klopp) in terms of their footballing beliefs and philosophies.

Tuchel, Nagelsmann, Marsch, Hasenhuttl, and Frank being some of the ones that come to mind. Think Potter at Brighton sets up his teams at times in a manner that look like a Klopp/Pep hybrid.

IMO it's a great singing for Chelsea. He'll be straight in my FF team that's for sure.

Ya I think he’ll do well there - odd City let him go, Koulibailly next (4 years for a 31 year old) and Ake and or Kimpembe

Thiago and Koulibaly as centre halfs, cant be far off 70 between them?

I think Koulibailly is still good but not what he was 2/3 years ago - let’s see how he copes in the PL

He is a bloody good CB and still remember him keeping an in form Salah under wraps.

He is good in a two man CB set up, think in a three man set up like that of Chelsea he would be even better.

Big, very strong, faster than most forwards or at least as fast at worst, and no slouch in reading the play.

If they get Kimpembe and Koulibailly it will be a good bit of business for them. If not for Silva still being at the back for them I wld have said it was Tuchel looking to add real pace to the centre of his back line.

Unless Tuchel plans to drop Silva more often and go with Koulibailly, Kimpembe and Ake as a CB trio (Hope they do not try to get a third CB whose surname starts with a K though )
