If I was Andy Carroll and I saw the PC yesterday I would be slightly concerned. Hopefully he comes into training and impresses.

i agree with this to some extent.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostI agree. Rodgers is already rubbing me the wrong way. If he ships out Carroll and makes Borini our first choice striker... MEH.
Carroll has come on a lot over the last six months and in the past we have been stupid enough to let go of some really expensive players on loan deals which didnt benefit us at all.
If you dont want a player fine, but keep it to yourself. Dont advertise it to the world because youve just shown all your cards. Now rodgers has caused a media frenzy, got the fans wound up and the god knows what the player is thinking.
Why wouldnt you keep him because at the very least he offers you something else. Borini might be a decent finisher in the box but carroll is a beast when hes on song. If carroll goes on loan it proves one thing.

I cannot see Carroll going on loan anywhere but could be wrong.
If someone offers £15m for him I could see us accepting that, personally I think Carroll leaving would be the wrong decision but we'll have to wait and see.
Carroll is a much better footballer than Danny Graham and he worked for Swansea in their system last season, from Christmas/New Year Carroll was mobile, aggressive and worked his nuts off, add in some improved technical ability and work on his movement, explaining to him where to be when we move the ball and he'll continue to be a handful of a target/front man.
To me it seems as though Carroll has rediscovered his confidence and has been unplayable for spells with us and for England. The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

I really haven't seen this... the header for England against Sweden and a decent substitute appearance in the FA Cup final, but not unplayable - otherwise he would've bagged a hat full towards the end of the season. His movement generally remained poor and he lacked the desire to put himself where he could hurt the opposition.Originally posted by The Birdman View PostI cannot see Carroll going on loan anywhere but could be wrong.

He needs to do a whole lot more for me, that's without taking into consideration his seeming ineligibility for the type of football we will be setting up to play.
I like the lad, he's not afraid to put in a shift, but he's just not remotely good enough.
When he signed I said we'd paid at least 20 million over the odds for him and unfortunately, I've seen very little over the last 18 months to convince me otherwise.
A loan is not the answer for me, sell him on and invest in a player who will thrive in our system.Cult Member. Nazi puncher.

He's another that seems to love the limelight. He's ****ing fat as well. We should have kept Kenny, let Rodgers prove himself and whether his tactics work for a second season and then reacessed end of the season. But that's just me. Too late now. It has to work.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostI agree. Rodgers is already rubbing me the wrong way. If he ships out Carroll and makes Borini our first choice striker...
