thats the sort of stuff that can really affect a players confidence.
Behaved, didn't put a foot wrong off the field as many said he would, and, his goals to minutes ratio wasn't really that bad.
Never mind, Big Sam will get the best out of him, he's a top coach don't ya know, and he's a chewing gum manager, none of those tica tacs in his pockets.

Going to someone like West Ham who are the polar opposite to the way Rodgers likes to play would indicate to me that we want rid
West Ham wouldn't help his development at all. Basically all of the hard work Carroll and LFC have put in over the last year to improve Carroll's game would be a waste of time if he goes to a long-ball team like West Ham.

Can't believe we would contemplate a loan. He was great at the end of last season, winning everything in the air.
Tika taka is all good and well but you do need a plan B now and again.
If you want to sell, then sell. If you want him to develop then keep him. A loan to West Ham would be a complete waste of time.

It was for a striker with our level of expectation, especially in the league.Originally posted by Vermilion View Post

At a new club in and out of the team ?Originally posted by Mattshark View PostIt was for a striker with our level of expectation, especially in the league.
We need to do something about those expectations then.
He was a hairs breadth from scoring a few goals too, so i can see the potential, but the price tag is killing him, every single thing he does is weighed against that, so he'll never win, at the time we bought him he was a 16million pound player imo, nothing more.Last edited by Vermilion; 11-07-12, 10:41 AM.

Sorry, but he has been here 18 months and got 6 goals in 42 games played. That is pretty atrocious.Originally posted by Vermilion View PostAt a new club in and out of the team ?

No, we need better players.
No, he is just probably just not good enough for us.

Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I think we get better players than Carroll and better players than we got last season.Originally posted by Alex View PostI don't know who you think we are anymore Matt. But we finished 8th in the league. We can't really get a better caliber at the moment. We have to make do with the players we can get.

Well we signed Suarez at the same time we signed Carroll.Originally posted by Alex View PostWell I've yet to see us sign anyone better. We are at a level, and we need to get out of it.
I think we could do better personally.
