Unless ROdgers has been given an open cheque book, he needs to use Carroll and us him well. As for not fitting in with Rodgers style of play, that style of play was at Swansea and none of us know if that's going to work at Liverpool. So I really think a massive mistake by the manager to sell or loan out Carroll.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

Well one thing is for sure ... very few people on the internet have anykind of "in" at Liverpool these days, so nobody truly knows ... the press wheel out there ... Our sources ... ****e every 4 or 5 days .. and like clockwork .. we all go loopy on here ... Unless I read it in the Echo I dont give any of it any credence

we should never loan carroll back to newcastle unless its a make weight in a deal that sees us buying ben arfa, cisse, krul or maybe ba.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

He ended up playing far better football (to feet) than any of us thought possible towards th eback end of the season. He looked nimble, light and infinitely more mobile than when he first arrived and retained and rediscovered his physical presence.

Can't help but think all these links and talk of him leaving which aren't exactly being rebuffed by the club or the manager, ore going to leave us right back at square one, ie a fragile player, bereft of confidence and of no use to anyone.

I think on the effort put into to making it work over the last few months, it deserves at least until January.

If that's the case then we should get rid. If Rodgers is unsure of him then he should be even more determined to prove him wrong. If every set-back is going to leave him 'bereft of confidence', then he clearly isn't the right player for a club like Liverpool.

If he hadn't have found form towards the end of last season then maybe this perceived lack of support may have been a worry, but having to some degree proved a lot of LFC fans and England fans wrong, I’m sure he feels he can do the same if given a chance by Rodgers.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I was never keen on the Carroll signing but Im baffled that we now seem to be advertising that we want to get rid.

Yes, the manager may have a favoured system but you cant be completely reliant on only one way of playing. If we are going to be playing with smaller mobile forwards, there's an obvious advantage to having Carroll as an alternative, whether as a supersub or for games where that may work better against the opposition. That's not saying we have to lump it long to him. As elrichio says, you can easily set up a system based on pressing and mobile forwards with a big man as a central pivot (like Rafa used to sometimes play with Mista at Valencia or Crouch here).

Would you buy him for £35m as a squaddie? Of course not. But he's here now and if we're ****ing advertising to get rid of him (), we'll lose so much on the deal that we may as well as keep him. Football's a squad game these days and we say in the FA Cup final how useful he can be at the right time.

After all, both Negredo and Llorente were in Del Bosque's tiki-taka squad.

Either way, AC is imo on his way out, BR clearly stated "a loan deal is something i'd have to look at", so he's not in his immidiate plans by the sounds of that.

According to presenter of Talksport he knows of one manager at least who has turned down Andy Carroll in last 24 hours.

We've always got Ac Milan to fall back on if need be.
