This is a stupid game we're playing with Carroll. He didn't want to come, with only stupid wages convincing him otherwise it seems. He spoke to the Toon fans on the day he signed here and said he'd didn't want to leave and he's been struggling to settle since. A chance to move back there and he'd jump at it, so our posturing is only going to piss him off and leave us with the moody disinterested Andy that we were used to in the early days. FWIW, it's not his fault.

I'd lay my left bollock that he won't be here on the first day of the season. As always we'll be the club that's left looking stupid, it's all about degrees of stupidity though

Andy Carroll it would seem is the kind of player you need a whole system around, not the other way around. Now if we were commited to that system regardless of manager, players etc then fine but we were not and now it would seem we are ... to which he does not really fit into it ...

So if we get a decent offer he'll go, if not he'll stay and try to fit into the system
