£5 per month is cracking value when compared against the £30 odd that you'll be paying for Sky Sports thus coming season.

I don't have BT broadband though, so like a lot of people I'll be paying the full amount, plus the full Sky package as they aren't going to be dropping their prices.Originally posted by spud_gun View Post£5 per month is cracking value when compared against the £30 odd that you'll be paying for Sky Sports thus coming season. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Or you just don't bother. Just stick to one. Or none.Originally posted by RedReet View PostI don't have BT broadband though, so like a lot of people I'll be paying the full amount, plus the full Sky package as they aren't going to be dropping their prices.Always borrow money from a pessimist. So i won't be able to subscribe for a £5?
EDIT - Just been on BT's website. It's £13.50 a month for non broadband customers.
Not paying that.

shockingly expensive...might email Esther Rantzen@That's Life.....jokes aside prices will only continue rising.Originally posted by Alex View PostIts sad that all sport is going behind a paywall now. To watch Football I would have to pay £38.50 a month now.
Thats £462 a year!! Its almost impossible for me to justify it, so I dont.

I agree partly however you don't have to sign up to all football. I was with virgin last year and upgraded from medium tv package to xl for not a lot more and this gave me BT. That was enough games for me to justify paying for. I've now moved and can't get virgin here so signed up to BT for broadband, phone and TV starter. About £24 for all 3 and I get BT sport included. OK hadn't allowed for the £5 extra however that's not going to break me. I'm not a massive champions league fan however I will get that, some premier league, German, Italian, French and plenty more. More sport than the wife will allow me to watch. I could never justify paying for sky.Originally posted by Alex View PostIts sad that all sport is going behind a paywall now. Its a shame for kids growing up that unless the parents do pay they don't get to see football, cricket, rugby etc. If they don't see how do they become followers?Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

Easier said than done. I’ll probably no subscribe to Bt initially, but if I start having problems finding alternative options, no doubt I’ll cave.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostOr you just don't bother. Just stick to one. Or none.
Actually I did invest in an Android box last year in anticipation for BT Sport upping their prices this year, to see how well it worked. I had no issues with it, it was certainly handy for 3 o’clock Saturday matches, but I’d still prefer to watch through Sky.Originally posted by cream View Post
invest in one of these.
Why is the image so small?
I actually expected it to be a lot more. Their comments about their pricing going to reflect what people paid for Sky had me worried. I probably will stick to the Android box initially, but it’s good to know that if that doesn’t work out then it’s only an extra £13.50.Originally posted by spud_gun View PostI don't have BT broadband either.
