I always thought that maybe if there was something more substantial than toffee on offer then people may be more inclined to make the effort to do the thing they can't do.

Surely a better way of phrasing it would be 'I cannot be arsed to spell or construct a proper sentence for toffee as the reward is insignificant compared to the effort required. However if you give me hard cash or free hookers for life I'll consider it' (although I do appreciate that with you being in the Far east you probably get the last part anyway).
