I can't criticise as I'm not really any better. Well, I suppose that doesn't really stop me from criticising the spelling and grammer of others. It just means that I'll be doing so using incorrect sentence structure myself.

Strangely enough I've found coming on here to have helped a bit though. Life's great tragedy is that 15 years of schooling left me with a great mind but an inability to articulate myself but i was eventually sorted out as a consequence of a group of oddballs and angry men that I'd never met repeatedly screaming at each other about the merits (or lack of depending on which side of the fence you fall on) of a rather rotund spaniard
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

          From a Reading forum
Now I have some news that is bound to excite Liverpool and Reading fans having spoken to an Icelandic journalist named Brynjar Ingi Erluson (twitter @brynjarerluson) about the situation. He has confirmed the fact that it is a Liverpool vs Reading showdown and that Spurs are not in the picture as he put, "I'm afraid so. Gylfi has no interest at all signing for a club that has no manager. #HisOwnWords". Although this does not 100% rule Spurs out of the race, it shows that we know who the two favorites are.* He has also made the point that Gylfi is indeed in Iceland and plans to return to the UK on tuesday. He has been mulling over his big decision whilst enjoying himself as well due to being spotted playing tennis with an Icelandic national team mate.* He is also of the belief it is something of a battle of the managers.* Reading have offered more money and are his academy club. Liverpool are a more prestigious club.* Both clubs have made good reasons as to why he should join them but he believes that the main sway will be whether he joins the man who gave him his Reading debut and took him into the Premier League (Brendan Rodgers) or whether he will join the man who scouted him in Iceland and brought him to the UK and gave him his first big break. (Brian McDermott). Now one thing that is known is the fact that Manchester United manager Mr. Ferguson scouted Gylfi a couple of times last season. He has also told me that Gylfi said that it would be tough to turn down Manchester United to Icelandic media. Therefore if the Red Devils were to through in a late bid then there could be another twist in what has been an extraordinarily odd transfer saga. One things for sure, it is going to come to an end soon, but which set of fans will come out with a smile on there faces?

                Not me, nice name thou

Gylfi did not have a medial with spurs over the weekend. He however has a contract offer from them, as i said earlier, which is substantially better than the the one that was discussed in his meeting with LFC. I stand by what i said earlier, he is not the type to think just about the money. He thinks about playing time, playstyle etc.

I underline that this transfer has been pritty much done since Brendan took over. And i do not belive that roughly ~25% higher wages will change that.

Im fine with not beeing able to compete with the Man City´s and Chelsea´s of this world. But beeing overbid by Spurs, who are without a manager and have a strict salarie policy in order, worries me. We are talking about contract of 50-60K´ish not 100k+. This comes strictly down to how much LFC want him and how much he does want to play for them, goes both ways.

That beeing said, i do still belive that he will be a Liverpool player within 7 days and a solid confirmation on contract/medical/fee agreed will be made public midweek.

I thought exactly the same thing.
But then I guess we are more used to drawn out transfer sagas in the media then the Reading fans are.

I cannot believe we're "battling" with Reading

If he can't see that LFC is a bigger and better club than Reading then maybe he isn't the player we need. You need balls and bottle to succeed at Anfield.

Not really - after all, he is Icelandic.

                            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
