I'm not bothered whether he comes or not. I'm concerned he had a purple patch ala meireles did when everything he hit went in. if he'd scored only once would there be the clamour for him?

EDIT: I like Sigurdsson and think he has bags of potential and would like to see him at LFC if he wants to be here, but you'd swear we were going after Iniesta FFS, it's still a big gamble and if he is pissing about and dragging his heels he can **** off. Either you wanna be here or you don't.

I have no problem with yet another mini saga if we were going after a world class player which he is far from, seriously getting impatient so i am !!!

thats just it I have seen very little of him. you may of seen him and you're a decent judge so if you're saying he's the real deal fair enough. but a lot of people haven't seen much and are going overboard on a few goals flying in. johnson at city looks good on match of the day as did that italian who west ham had who scored the winning pen last night.

so who is he comparable to? scholes? gerrard, alonso, keane? box to box?

It sucks when the smaller signings take so long to sign. Understandable & inevitable if it were a Kaka or Ronaldo type signing but he's not. May be one day, who knows but I'd kinda hope signings of this magnitude where done & dusted in a week or so instead of being the soap opera that it's become.

I like him an awful lot, I think he could end up a really good player and I went out of my way to watch him after having his name dropped

Hes very very similar to Gerrard in style of play and whilst I dont think he could hit that level I think he could end up an extremely good player

I wanted him signed before Rodgers arrived and I want him signed even more now

I'd be really disappointed if we didnt sign him

I may need a tin hat here, but Gylfi Sigurdsson looks like he is on his way to Tottenham. Hoffenheim yet to confirm, but it looks like it.LFC will be very disappointed. They were sure they had him ten days ago. Rodgers wanted "chance to show him what (LFC) had to offer".
It either wasn't enough, or what Spurs had to offer was deemed better. Blow to LFC, he's a very good player, and good value too. from good sources in Germany . Though similar sources said last week LFC was done.
