He's spot on I bet. I'd put put money on the fact that his signing will be announced on Monday.

I reckon he had his medical in the week and Ben Smith said there was a Hoffenheim rep in the country on thurs so that was probably to finish of the paperwork. His contracy with Swansea expires June 30th and he's announced as a Spurs player the next day or two afterwards.

I was not 100% sure last weekend because I was expecting him to come to Liverpool but it never happened.

I have had updates since and been told that he flew back to London last thurs/fri from his holiday in the states. He went back to Iceland on saturday and he's been there ever since so the only time he could have had his medical was Thursday or Friday of last week. The bad news is that he hasn't came up to Liverpool at all. So its believed he is going to Spurs

His was 100% done in Liverpool when Aintree hospital had the contract for the cardiac related tests, before that Brunker bellend came in.

I have no problem with Gylfi choosing Spurs over us as he wants silly money (apparently), I am happy we are no longer willing to offer above average players silly wages and be stuck with him as nobody else can match their demands. I also understand a player choosing Spurs over us when they have out performed us over the last three season.

We need Rodger's to do what Rafa did when he came in and sign us a few gems that lift the whole club.

Seems odd.. I said from the start I didn't think we'd pull it off, just a gut feeling.

We really should have done something, at least matched Spurs and signed this lad, could become quality. Typical us.

Gylfi Sigurdsson decide Liverpool or Tottenham Hotspur today says his father Sigurdur Adalsteinsson.
“Gylfi wants to play at the highest level possible - every player wants to do that - but the opportunity has to be right.
“He hasn’t made up his mind yet. There are plenty of clubs interested in him. There are some in Germany, but Gylfi wants to play in England.
“The main aim for Gylfi is to be in as good a team as he can be and play for the best club possible. He is no different to anyone else.
“Liverpool and Tottenham are both in Europe next season so that is not the question.
“I have seen the stories that he is demanding a certain amount of money per week and they are rubbish. He just wants a normal salary and be on the same as other players at the club.
“The bottom line is he just wants to play and the main thing football-wise is to find the right team which will suit him the most.
“It always helps when you know the coach like Brendan Rodgers. He is a very good trainer. But does that mean Liverpool? Maybe, maybe not.
“He is thinking what is best to do and will have a decision by Sunday.”
