If it doesn't leave, I guess to play 2 up top you need 4 strikers. Hopefully he can help Balotelli settle in.

Why's he greedy? Maybe he feels like he's up to the challenge of breaking into our first team. Good luck to him I say.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostWhat a tit he is. Better get used to the U21 team as that's as good as it will get for him here. Greedy prick.
He's a decent 4th choice striker.

It's not my money, and it's not preventing any other players coming in, so I'm glad he's staying. He won't always make the matchday squad, but I personally think having too many good players is better than not having enoughI saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

It's been a long time since we have had 4 decent strikers on the books, if he's happy to stay and fight for a place then best of luck to him.
If he improves the way Henderson did when he refused to leave we'll be looking good in the striker department.

Once Borini leaves LFC he'll never play for a big club again... and he'll certainly never get those wages again. he had a chance to go to a team and revive his career but he chose to stay & sure you couldn't blame him. Average player that will spend a majority of time on the bench or making the tea.

Nobody really knows what's been going on, but if it's just Borini wanting to give it 1 season to fight for his place in a top team, then good luck to him and I completely understand it. It's very slim with chances here, but it's nice to see someone with options of first team footy actually prioritize ambitions of being at a top club for a while.

Sod that if he had ambitions he would have left to go prove himself. He will prove nothing by not even making the matchday squad every week. I'm not even sure he'll start in the cup games. Some ambition that.Originally posted by Darkon View PostNobody really knows what's been going on, but if it's just Borini wanting to give it 1 season to fight for his place in a top team, then good luck to him and I completely understand it. I think he's also shown a severe lack of self awareness if he thinks he deserves £90k a week. Deluded.

I quite like Welbeck as a player but the one area he has not really improved on is his goal scoring. He just doesn't seem to have the composure/decision making skills. I suppose Wenger thinks that is something he can teach (although the evidence of Sanogo might suggest otherwise).Originally posted by Pablo View PostI'm much prefer Welbeck over Borini if I'm honest. I think if Arsenal play Welbeck centrally he might do ok for them. He'd outscore Borini anyway."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
