Yeah it's a shame really, he's always talking about he's been a success at West Ham and Chelsea but not here, it obviously pisses him off. And despite barely playing and getting some grief off fans he's nothing but complimentary about the supporters, Rodgers and the younguns ahead of him.

Hopefully he can bow out with a stoppage time winner v QPR before joining them in January.

He seems a really good bloke to me, I'd love him to succeed. But he's *so* **** - his first five or six touches of the ball were painful. I think he gave the first four away.
In the first minute of coming on, he gave the ball away 3 times within that minute! I was counting, yes I was. His give the ball away ratio was immense

Think you just coined a new phrase there - the new bounce-backability

Yet he scored and got us back in the game. He can give it away 15 times in a minute for all I care. Allen had stats of never giving the ball away in the early days yet converting losses into draws and draws into wins it did not.

He cost us over 12m in wages thus far and imo the earlier he leaves the better off will be for everyone involved.

He seems a good bloke but I hope he finds himself a new club in January just like Downing.

                    *** SENSATIONALIST HEADLINE ALERT ***

Joe Cole seeking £3.6million pay-off to quit Liverpool with QPR and Reading interested

Joe Cole is requesting a £3.6m pay-off from Liverpool to quit the Merseyside club in January.

The former Chelsea and West Ham midfielder joined the Reds in 2010 but has failed to make an impact at Anfield – with just 42 appearances in his two-and-a-half year spell at the club – and spent last season on loan at French side Lille.

Cole is now seeking a move away from Liverpool, with both QPR and Reading circling, but is demanding a £3.6m pay-off with 18 months still remaining on his contract.

The 31-year-old, whose contract is currently worth around £100,000 a week, is unlikely to be offered more than £30,000 a week from either of his prospective suitors and wants Liverpool to help make up the shortfall, with Brendan Rodgers keen to get him off the club’s wage bill.

Should an agreement be reached to terminate Cole’s contract, the midfielder would be free to sign for another club when the transfer window opens on Tuesday, with relegation-threatened duo QPR and Reading the frontrunners for his signature.

It's a saving of 50 grand a week so get it done if it can be.

He's never going to walk away and let us pay nothing.

Kinda Muddled's point though, innit. Hence he tagged the link, "The Bible."

We'll have to pay him off though won't we. Shame, had high hopes for Cole.
