Always kind of let Cole off to a point due to him appearing like he'd kept his head down and not complained like others at the time.

Very disappointing to read that really.

It's pretty annoying that he's basically saying that he never felt any connection with the club, he came to us as we were pretty much the only option he had. You'd understand him moaning a bit if we paid him peanuts. But bearing in mind the huge signing on fee, the huge wages and then the huge pay-off, for him to come and now say that, I'd say it's a total and utter disgrace.

He should have waited for a better offer if he didn't want to come to us. But that wouldn't be right as he was all about the money. Anything else is an excuse

Think there is some revisionism going on here. As I said he was Chelsea Player of the Year in 2008. When we signed him we could have done with that player. It wasnt to be, he turned out to be totally ****. But to say you knew he would be a load of wallop when we signed him seems off too me. Not saying your a liar obviously.

We're not still paying him.

His contract was terminated. He received severance pay at that point.
