There's been zero official word - nor even reports in any media - that Ibe is out for the season. Nothing.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

And he posted a picture of his knee in a brace the day it was mentioned he was "out for the season"- he hasn't had surgery

Opened (new) contract talks according to the Express.

(Can't say I'm especially thrilled - although he has been better lately).

I hate to admit this, but I have a completely irrational dislike of Joe Allen. I'll grudgingly admit when he does well, or does something half decent in a game, but if I see him starting or warming up, I get a bit tourette-ish and start waving my arms about.

I can't help it, he just winds me up. I have to bite my tongue when he gets barged off the ball or falls over, or does his stupid little lame run and gets pushed over by a normal sized player when he's putting a tackle in.

I admit it - its my issue. It all started with that miss against Everton. I just haven't been able to forgive him for it. Half the battle is admitting you have a problem I suppose.

I just hate seeing him play.

We need a couple more Joe Allen types at the club, or some of the players in the squad to step up there game. I am always reminded of those United teams which had a bunch of very solid guys on the bench who seemed happy to stay at that club long term, contributing very little but when they were called upon they could contribute. Joe Allen is a perfect squad player, capable of very high level performance and usually solid at worse. I think a lot of people were quick to rush with opinion on him and have not really taken into account the disjointed nature of his career so far at Liverpool. When hes match fit, has had a run of games, hes right up there in my humble opinion. I hope he stays at the club for a very long time.

I heard someone make the same point on The Anfield Wrap - its perfectly logical, but my antipathy has no rational grounds, its purely ****ing feral.
