That hip will go again soon, but until it does he's an awesome player. With some ****e passes around him (Henderson, Coutinho, etc) he made sure we ticked. Then second half completely bossed it, even had a wee Welsh jig in the penalty area while everyone watched.

Errrr right OK. Merely making the point that even though I don't like him and never really will, it doesn't stop me holding my hands up and saying he's had a good game. Plenty of people once they have an opinion on a player will not deviate from that viewpoint. I know from experience because I was like that with kuyt. I also feel if I don't make the point I will get people moaning I was slagging him last week and now I'm jumping on the bandwagon this week. I can't speak for anyone else but that's why I posted like this. Not that I should feel the need to explain myself to you Mr Foster.

Ineffectual in the first half when when our midfield was under pressure, but once we had an extra body in there in the second half he played very well.

Amazing defending in the 2nd half when one of their lads (can't remember who) looked like he was in on goal down the inside right channel (their right), about to shoot and a motoring Joe Allen zoomed in from nowhere to deny him. Fantastic awareness and application.
