Away - stiffen it with Allen plus one of Raheem/Phil.
Yep, and on certain away games go all guns blazing too

yep i agree with that but if either isn't working - it's good that we know seem to have good options and a couple of different ways of playing

        Totally agree.

I think we're just one first team midfielder away from completing a reliable squad challenging for honours on all fronts, at home and in Europe.

A player like Will Hughes is my pick for the energetic, multifunctional midfield role. So we have three from Henderson, Allen and Hughes, with Hughes being able to play as the #10 as well, alongside Coutinho and Sterling.

And Lucas will remain Gerrard's backup as the DM, with Allen filling as and when necessary.

He looks a prospect but I would rather someone who could walk straight into our team and improve us from the go.

He's been very unfortunate with injuries last year (he was also overplayed which affected his performance) and this year wasn't much better.

When he played he played well for the most part.

He and Hendo seem almost perfect fit for BR style of play.

Constant pressing, quick passing, tracking back, fast moving forward, both natural fit for dynamic and fluid type of midfield.

Hughes could be loaned back to Derby for a year.

It's safe to say that his shoulder injury was the reason for his poor performances.

What is Joe Allen? He’s four foot two and made out of milk.
How is he charging down the ball against men three times his size? How is it that he’s not being flung around like a rag doll? What’s he doing standing in the centre circle of the champions’ own midden and taking the ball off them at will. What is this?

He didn't seem to get much praise for it at the time, but I thought he was absolutely outstanding in the 5-0 at Spurs.

I like the way he's always available, happy to receive the ball under pressure and invariably picks out the right pass.

As Rodgers said when he signed him, he's very reminiscent of Spanish midfielders in how he plays

It is not a coincidence that both he and Henderson played in our three most impressive away performances 0-5 Spurs, 0-3 Southampton & 0-3 United. That gaping hole that has appeared at times through the centre of midfield disappears and the support they give both full backs is huge.

We can get away with it in most home games, but they are a must in the away games. I'd go exactly the same way at Cardiff.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Been saying it for a while now. In away games, Coutinho out, Allen in. We need that solidity in the middle and Allen is so very good in releasing the ball in tight spaces. Henderson struggles a little in this department but Allen is boss

That Spurs performance was his best. Sturridge and Suarez feel less pressured to track back and help out, leaving them to do their 'business' at the business end. A place for everyone, and everyone in their place. Isn't common sense simply brilliant.
