Krul would be the only option for me, even if it'd cost a lot. Has so many desirable qualities; great in the air, good shot stopper, good with the ball at his feet.

Saying that, I wouldn't mind a punt on the Toulouse goalkeeper Ahamada also.

Fraser Forster is a very good keeper and its only testament to how good Krul is that Newcastle felt it wasn't such a loss to sell Forster on to Celtic. Either one of them would be a great signing.

Rodgers clearly said we weren't after a keeper when spoken too. And this rumour was in the air before then.

If Butland is on the way in, Reina is on the way out. He's not coming as a number 2 after Jones signed a new deal. Bizarre.

That said, if Reina did go, I wouldn't be as bothered as I was 2 years a go. But I would be concerned about the replacement until I've seen how he settles.
